Woodworking has been my hobby and passion since early adulthood. In 2003, I made the decision that it was time to go public with my craft. Since that time, I have exhibited my work at the finer Arts and Crafts shows in Washington State. I work from a shop next to my home in Issaquah, WA.

Furniture - Fond of the Arts and Crafts period, I have incorporated its elements into each of my table and wall mirror designs. I have named each style by the person of that period who inspired my design. I strive to keep the designs up to date yet retain the essence of their original designer. My designs are made from the finest domestic and local hardwoods. I do not use nails, staples, or take shortcuts in their construction. Pieces are finished with Oil, Shellac, Urethane, Lacquer or a combination of one or more, depending on the wood and the piece's intended use.

Mirrors - The glass for my mirrors is 3/16Ó thick beveled mirror and comes from Issaquah Glass, a local reputable supplier. It is fully enclosed and screwed to the frame with a 1/8Ó birch plywood back. A protective paper is placed between the plywood back and the mirror coating to protect against scratching of the reflective surface.

Burl Wood Boxes - Working with maple and other burls, I find the beautiful wild grain patterns of these Òabnormalities in natureÓ intriguing. These boxes are made on a band saw from a solid block of burl wood. The result is that the grain's figure can be followed throughout the lid, sides and bottom of the box.

Fly Fishing Products - As an avid fly fisherman, it was just natural to combine fly fishing with woodworking. The result was custom wooden trout nets and my ever-popular fly boxes. These beautiful items were designed "to be used". They are finished with penetrating oil, then two to three coats of urethane finish.

Much of my work requires Òhand workÓ, especially in the pre-finish and finishing processes. I prefer hand sanding to machine sanding and some of my final finishes are Òhand rubbedÓ for that extraordinary look and feel.

Custom work & Lead Time: I am willing, and eager, to consider most custom work requests. I won't accept a project that I don't think I can excel at and that you will not be happy with. I provide sketches or drawings for review and acceptance and will provide finish samples where warranted. For custom work, I require a 50% deposit prior to my starting with the balance due upon delivery. I am not the fastest woodworker on the block, but my pace maintains the quality I require and you expect. I will give you an ÒestimatedÓ time of completion at the time of order.
