Inspired by the architect brothers of the early 1900Õs who became, in my mind, the epitome of the American Arts & Crafts Movement and who introduced the Òcloud liftÓ detail into furniture design. The cloud lift detail is seen in the upper and lower horizontal rail of my design
I make this mirror from Quarter-sawn White Oak in the spirit of the Arts and Crafts movement. The corners feature "Through Mortise and Tenon" joinery with genuine Ebony beveled pegs. The mirror is of the highest quality 3/16" glass with a 1" bevel on all sides and is purchased from a reputable glass company. For the finishing process, I use wood dye, stain, and urethane finish.
