This One-of-a-Kind cabinet is 18" wide by 24" tall and is made from quartersawn and gummy cherry from Pennsylvania. The door panels and drawer fronts on the outside are birds-eye maple from Quebec. The 6 drawers inside are faced with quartersawn Sycamore. The drawer pulls are Ironwood from the Southwest. The drawer bottoms are unfinished Port Orford Cedar from here in the Northwest, noted for its unique aroma. The drawer bottoms are upholstered in red velvet and most have trays with dividers.
The wood for this box was collected over a long period of time prior to the box being constructed. It cannot be duplicated, but another could be built from similar, or completely different, woods.
It is intended to be wall mounted on a wooded cleat that is attached to the wall. The cabinet is simply "hung" on the cleat for an extremely sturdy mount. It is especially pleasing when hung just a few inches over the top of a dresser.
